HP/ TR (LV) WHY??? and how it all came to be...

§ Reasons to ship Tom/Harry §

…because they are so much different, yet so much alike.
…because Harry’s greatest power is love, and he can teach Tom how to love.
...because the tension between them is sexcellent. ^_~
...because it would be too predictable for one of them to end up with Ginny.
...because Harry's eyes are green, and Tom's eyes are red. Green and red are the colors of Christmas, and everyone loves Christmas!
...because parseltongue is sexy.
…because darkness is sexy.
…because power is sexy.
…because Harry was with Tom on Valentine’s Day night in CoS.
…because it’s so wrong , yet so right.
…because Tom couldn’t keep his eyes off Harry in the Chamber of Secrets.
…because they can understand each other.
...because writers want a challenge, damnit!
...because Harry can't stop commenting on how cute Tom is.
...because Tom has been places inside Harry that no one else has.
...because that can be taken in a non-smutty way too. ;-)
...because Tom has charisma.
...Harry likes charisma.
...and so do we.
...ever heard of Ineluctability?
...because Snape said so
...and his gaydar is amazing
...just ask the puppyshippers
...Because there's a fine line between love and hate
...Becuase they can go on double dates with the trio of Severus/Remus/Sirius (Long live Snuffles!)
...Because Ginny's just not good enough for Harry
...because of the passion
...because together, they're an unstoppable force
...because they've already got a strong connection
...because corruption is sweet.
...because our most delightful daydream is the look on Dumbledore's face when he finds out.
...because Tom and Harry together is just so aesthetically pleasing.
...You tell them no.
...because hatred comes full circle.
...because Tom is used to chasing Harry.
...because we CAN!
...we ship, therefore we...am.
...because tension can lead to passion.
...because Tom's huge snake needs some TLC.

I hope they don't mind, I put it here, but hey if they do, just drop me a comment and I'll take it out, for now think of this as advertisement!

I never even tought about hp with tr/lv before reading this list by a pure coincidence and then suddendly I tought: hey! that makes so much sence and it's fun too! (and everyone know that fun is a wonderful motivational agent). Today, I am one of the biggest hp/tr (lv) fan!

Hurray for them and HP FANFICTION 4 EVER!!!

Hi Again...

The last Hp movie is finally finished.
The saga e now, officially over.
But from the ashes of JK Rowling's greatest (and with that I mean only) creation, rises,
POTTERMORE, the mew site for HP fans...

JK Rowling annouces Pottermore--
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=oYs1d3jAdG0

Am I the only one who thinks she has finally came up with a way to at least try to get a hold on the hP fanfiction???
Ok... perhaps I'm exagerating, it really sounds like there's going to be a role-playing side to this all pottermore experience, and of course there's the new, never before released info abou the hp world *bites her niles in curiosity and anxiety*... so I guess we all just have to wait and see!

Mean while I can only say that if that was JK's goal, it appears to be far too late to try and control the madness that is fanfiction, if you don't believe me watch this Connan O'Brien interview with Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wg1EBpeEKa4&feature=player_embedded

Did everyone noticed how when the subject of Drarry was brought up by Tom Felton, at least 50% of the audience clapped even before he got to explain what that was?
How many Draco-Harry slashers were in the audience?
Either way, yes I guess it is mad, this fanfiction world, the adult fanfic and slash, expecially, but hey! we all need some madness in our lives!
Besides, it's fantasy guys! chill!
I mean reality is boring! People hardly turn into flamingos at all!

And remember if you're underage, you probably shouldn't be here...
But, for once, let's be honest, I started reading adult Hp fanfic when I was fourteen and it has never done me any harm, in fact, if it has done me anthing it was a world of good.
And well, considering the number of porn sites, virus sites and stupid pop-ups in really all kinds of sites, just trying to get your back account info so they can sell you stuff. Not to mention pedophiles in chat rooms, and any other internet predatores lurking in the net-shadows... well, perhaps this is a really safe site for if not kids (which honestly should not be let online unchaperoned) at least for teenagers all around the world. Yes there's sex, and violence and a all lot of other bad stuff your parents probably warned you about, but hey, it's only in written for, performed by fictional characters, it can never harm you, and you don't need to tell me your name, your age, your back account info, hell your anything.
Just explore at will, have fun, enjoy the wonderful world of literature, and of imagination, this is perhaps one of the most secure ways of beeing introduced to the ideas of sex, violence, drugs and overall rock'in roll, that you'll ever find in our modern day and age.
You may even find that, through all the bad stuff, you made a lot of friends, imaginary and otherwise, you read a lot more than it's common for a teenager, heck the all idea of teens spending hours a day reading in their computers instead of playing (a lot more traumatizing) games, is frankly reassuring to me.
And if you're truly lucky you'll even find, as I have, that there's much to learn trough fanfiction, as there's much to learn through books.
Things like love in the face of adversity, equality in all things, including love, old school values like honesty, companionship, obedience and rebelion, all mixed up in a kind of magical milk-shake that is fanfiction.
You may even discover a love for reading and even writing, I know I have.
Speaking from my hp adultfanfiction expecience, I've never regretted reading that first adult fic, I remember it as clearly as if it were yesterday, it was a Miss Figg fanfic, a Hermione/Snape. And I was lucky, it was a very good fic, I've had the pleasure of re-reading it several times throughout the many years that have passed since that fateful afternoon.
Ah! How truly fortunate I was that although it was an adult fic, the story was the really important part, it thaught me a valuable lesson, that I believe if all teenagers knew they would do a lot less dangerous things. It taught me that what matters is to have fun and as long as you're safe and not hurting anyone than it's probably okay. That you deserve to have fun, and to enjoy life. Yes you'll probably have sex, do drugs, smoke and drink in highly disaprove by your parents level. That's ok, you see it's they work to disaprove, but if you're prepared, psychologicaly, physically, emotionally, etc, you'll be fine, and even if it's not great, it's still okay to do it. Because you see, learning to trust your own judgement is an important, if not the most important part of growing up, of becaming an adult. I you think you're ready, then you probably arent't, but the mere fact that you bothered to think about it before jumping into that pool of sharks that are your teenage years, well that thinking is already a pretty good thing, means that even tough you're not an adult, you're going in that direction, by learning to think before you act, to listen to your concience (even if only to casually ignore it after) and to be yourself, the best way you can, because honestly, that's all anyone can ask of you.
Remember, you are the main character in your own story, you matter, and ultimetly, for good or for bad, you decide. Fanfiction has taught me that, and *don't tell anyone* but I hope it will teach you that too.

WELCOME STRANGER,
you must be cold;

Stay awhile,
the day grows old.

Be not afraid,
no danger's near;

Just recall,
we're all mad in here...

"Only problem is, I can't remember what I've forgotten..."

When I first read this quote, I was 11 and so had no idea of its sweet irony...

But throughout the years, in my eternal quest trough the world of Hp fanfic, I've often came back to this quote.
I can't indeed remember what I've forgotten, and this idea to start storing the best fanfics I read, sprang from that thought.

I would like to say that creating a best Hp fanfics List is my original idea, but that would be a blatant lie. There are probably hundreds of extremely good Hp Fanfic Lists out there, and mostly will be much better organized than mine, but I truly wished to post mine, since I already had it in my computer either way...

I started reading Hp fanfic when I was 14 and since then have never stopped, my tastes have changed greatly and been influenced by certain stages and events of my life.
But one thing has remain always the same, since the first day I picked up a book, and all trough my devoted reading of the Hp books and later on of its fanfiction... I'll read anything as long as it's good.

I prefer stories that are magnificently written, of course, but if the story has such an element of the extraordinary, in the form of a original idea, a twisted plot trick, a perfect characterization, if it managed to pull deep emotion from me... then it is in my list.

Thankfully, such a thing as good writing tends to go on pair with very good stories.
And outstanding authors!

Let us not forget about then, and the gift of love and devotion they are giving us, by letting us read their masterpieces...

I've betaed, practically since I began reading fanfic, believe my, writing in general, but fanfiction in particular is a work of love.

So, come with me, into a magical adventure of discovery and rediscovery trough the mists of my memory...
